Question : How do I rebuild SYSVOL and NETLOGON on 1 of my 3 servers?

Hi Experts

I need to rebuild SYSVOL and NETLOGON on one of my servers (SERVER1).  SERVER2 and SERVER3 seem to replicate fine, but SERVER1 uses the wrong location for the NETLOGON share and keeps reverting back to this wrong location if I manually set the share to the correct lcoation and restart the netlogon service.  This all seemed to be a problem after installing SP2 for 2003......

SERVER1 also has Exchange 2003 Server installed so I dont think I can remove AD and then reinstall AD.

I have been investigating the procedure in MS article 3153457, but I think I only need to perform 'some' of this proceedure - I'm just not sure how much.

So basically, I need clear info how to rebuild SYSVOL and NETLOGON on SERVER1 bearing in mind that Exchange is installed on this server.  Do I just set the burflags registry entry to D2 on SERVER1 and restart FRS?

Answer : How do I rebuild SYSVOL and NETLOGON on 1 of my 3 servers?

Thanks for your help guys but this article (315457) is far too ambiguous for my particular need.  And also it does not clearly state where I can get the 'linkd' command (its unknown on my server).

Perhaps I have not described my issue enough....  Anyway, I will move Exchange to another server and decomission this server then re-install Windows 2003 and AD which will start a fresh replciation partner and thus resolve my issue.

Thanks anyway
