Question : Sysvol Replication

I have two dc's in a 2000 domain.  I create a folder on c:\winnt\sysvol\sysvol\pcs.co.uk\. I created a folder called profiles and expected this to replicate the folder automatically to the other dc. It has in the past but now stopped working.  can anyone please help
