Question : Printing with TCP/IP with HP Jet Direct
|
|
Do Windows 95 support TCP/IP printing with Jet Direct? There is no server installed in the remote site, only a HP Jet direct installed and configured with appropiated IP address.
I can successfully print documents to the printer by Windows NT Workstation 4.0 by add an additional Jet Direct Port and point the IP address to the Jet Direct printer.
However, I cannot add the port in Windows 95 because there is no other port I can choose for configuration. I installed Jet Admin 2.53 in the Windows 95 machine but still cannot configure a port for TCP/IP printing.
Do anyone have idea about these?
Thanks,
Tony.

can you see the printer from the win95 printer? If youcan then goto add printer and setup as a network printer then browse network to find the printer you will need the drivers for the printer attached to the jetdirect. after selecting it from the network install drivers on local computer.
