Question : Dell Inspiron 1000 Video Problems
I'm working on a Dell Inspiron 1000 and the issue here is when the screen is moved or bumped the video goes out. I connected an external monitor up to it and I got the same results. I do not see how it could be a cable/connection issue if the external monitor goes out too, seems like it would be the mainboard yet that does not make much sense either.

Does the system completely lock up, or does the video come back?
BTW it could still be a cable in a sense, as there are wires going from the video board to the laptop display and the outer vga port. It could be a short in the mainboard or video board, or something as simple as an itchy trigger in the switch that determines when you close the lid.
