i have windows xp pro x64 with 6GB of RAM but when i run virtual pc 2007 or virtual server 2005 it limits ram to 3712 MB

You can try using other virtualization software such as VirtualBox (http://www.virtualbox.org/ ), VMWare Server (http://www.vmware.com/products/server/ ), or VMWare ESXI (http://www.vmware.com/products/esxi/ ). All these packages are free and work great. Hopefully you will like one of them and it will work for you.
