Question : Scheduled Task At Logoff

Hello,

We have 5 Windows XP machines, and I need to setup a scheduled task on each so when the user logs off, it runs a short .bat file.

The file is performing a write to a text file, logging the time at which the user logged off.  Is this possible, and if so how?  When setting up a scheduled task, you have the option to run it at Log On.

Thanks

Answer : Scheduled Task At Logoff

You can't do it as a scheduled task but you can run scripts at logoff through Group Policy.  If you have an AD domain create a new GPO.  If not then you can edit the local policy via GPEDIT.MSC.

The setting is under User configuration-> Windows Settings-> Logoff in both cases.
