Question : SQL Reporting Services - Runningvalue function in a graph

Im trying to graph the results of the running value function.

I have a table in the report, with one grouping level.  I've created a column with the runningvalue function, which is working fine.

Now in on the grouping header or footer i want to place a chart, which will graph the reults of the running value.  I've tried using reportitems for the column name, or just the runningvalue function itself as the date field of the chart.

It also comes up with a scope problem:

The  expression for the chart ‘chart2’ has a scope parameter that is not valid for RunningValue, RowNumber or Previous.  The scope parameter must be set to a string constant that is equal to the name of a containing group within the matrix ‘chart2’.

I've tried setting the scope to nothing, or to the name of the group in the table.

So what do i need to do, to graph the running value like this.  I cant just place the chart outside the table, as i want a chart for each of the items in the group.
