Question : Windows 2K Server will not start Network Services, Error 1083, Network Icons Missing

Cannot see network connections in Network and Dial Up Connections.  Tried executing fixes in Microsoft Article ID: 329050.  Network Connection Service and Com + Event System Service will not start.  Event Viewer logs Event ID 10005 from DCOM and Event 7000 from Service Control Manager.   Domain Controller Down.  Assistance Requested ASAP.

nice work.  build a second DC on your network.  you should never have only one.  do not use an application server for this by the way.  it will kill the app.
