Question : desktop settings

The computer was infected with spyware or malware..ect and still has some on it....that is the another part of the question. when I try to go into me display properties and then on desktop setting it won't let me change it...I can change the color but to put anything else it shows it there but I can't click on any of them. the second thing is I can't find the windows security center on the programs..where would I go to find that to change them settings?

Answer : desktop settings

1.  You can try FixPolicies.exe.
Please download FixPolicies.exe by Bill Castner and save it to your desktop.

Double click on FixPolicies.exe to run it.
Click on Install. It will create a folder named FixPolicies on your desktop.
Open the FixPolicies folder.
Double click on Fix_policies.cmd to run it. Command Prompt will open and close quickly; this is normal.

OR:
2. Download and run Smitfraudfix.exe(it will also fix policies) use Option 2/
