Question : NT 4.0 Every 4 Cluster Problem
|
|
I hope that someone can help.
We are running NT4.0 Cluster with Oracle 8i on two Compaq Proliant DL580 Servers. The cluster is setup to fail over as soon as the one Server has a bug, but no Parallel or Load Balancing done. We also are using Oracle Fail Safe Software, but this is not part of the problem. The Shared Data (Raid) is sitting in an Enterprise Storage Array 10000.
I feel that the problem outlined below has something to do with the Digital Storage Unit. Open for Discussion
Every 4-5 min, event viewer reports a cluster problem. Cluster resource 'File Share' failed Event ID:1069 Source: CluSvc
At the moment the cluster is set-up as follows: This appears in the Cluster Group (portion of the cluster group) Dependency: Disk I,J Resource Type: Physical Disk Name: File Share Resource Type: Generic Service
This appear in the diagnostic log: 0d4.0d5::14-12:59:08.226 Generic Service : Failed the IsAlive test. I will gladly give more information if anyone has a any clu on what i am on about

Answer : NT 4.0 Every 4 Cluster Problem

you want to setup a file share cluster resource, correct? The resource type for a share is "File Share". You have "Generic Service" specified.
