Question : XP Pro - I used Linux to reset my windows password, now I can't connect to internet

I used the Trinity Rescue Kit build 318 to reset my administrator using their winpass utility.

Then, I logged into safemode on xp and reset the passwords on all of my accounts.

Now, I can login to xp pro just fine, but neither of my network cards work properly.

I can run traceroutes on domains just fine, so DNS appears to be working.

I can ping domains just fine, so my connectivity and DNS is working there too.

Other computers on the LAN are working on the internet just fine.

What could Trinity have done to jack up my internet? Is that SAM file thing that it messed with tie to my internet?

Firefox and internet explorer both just hang trying to access any websites, and this seems to happen whether I try to access places with an IP address OR their domain name.

Any thoughts?

oxygen728,

Have you tried removing your network cards via Remove Hardware and rebooting and reinstalling the Drivers for them? You will have to set up network again.

Or dou you have any software firewalls installed? Like Zone Alarm or NIS, or any security suite?
