Question : Logon Failed: HY00:[IBM][iSeries Access ODBC Driver]Internal Drive error - v5r4 driver to v4r3 database

I have IBM I-Series Access v5r4 client software on my machine.  I use Crystal Reports 2008 to access a database on an I-Series server running OS v5r3 via ODBC and all works fine.  I can see the database listing, etc and report design is fine.

I am now trying to access a database on a different I-Series server running OS v4r3m0 and keeping on getting the following error:

Logon Failed.
Details: HY000:[IBM][iSeries Access ODBC Driver]Internal driver error.
[Database Vendor Code: 30101 ]

I know there is no issue with user account as I am accessing the v4r3 I-Series server through the v5r3 IBM Client Access Emulator and therefore am a bit stumped as to why it cannot logon through the ODBC connection?

Any advise would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Michel
