Question : XLP to XLS file conversion

I lost all my 2003 Office Excel files after a hard drive crash.  After my hard drive crash I upgraded to Vista and Office 2007.  I have Pocket Excel versions of all the files I need.  My problem is when I open them up using either Office 2003 or 2007 the files do not read correctly.  All I see is a lot of symbols and mixed up text.  I have successfully synced my PDA with Vista's Mobile Device Center but when I open the "synced" file it is like I described above.

My question is is there any way to convert the file over from XLP to XLS so I can at least read my spread sheets. and fix or tweak what does not convert over like colored text and cells?

Thanks,

Adam Worthington

Answer : XLP to XLS file conversion

simply use the "save as..." feature within Pocket Excel on your PDA. Pocket Excel can save files directly in XLS format. Remember, that even if files are saved in that format, they still won't have all the extra features you get in the full version of Excel, so you still need to limit you spreadsheet to functions that are available in Pocket Excel.
