Question : Windows xp desktop taskbar

Is there a way I can remove the options from allowing users to make changes to the windows xp taskbar
The taskbar at the bottom of the screen where is says start and then at the end has all they tray icons
if someone right clicks on the taskbar the box opens that says toolbars, show desktop, task manager, lock the taskbar, properties
Iw ould like to remove that if possible or disable it so noone can make changes like unlocking the taskbar or adding and removing items

Yes you can. Open the Run command. Type: GPEDIT.MSC Open the folder on the left entitled Administrative Templates located under the User Configuration icon. Access the sub folder entitled Start menu and Taskbar. About two thirds of the way down on the left menu pane you will see a line entitled, Prevent changes to Taskbar and Start Menu Settings. Double click this line and select "Enable". With GPEDIT you can turn the computer into an Etch-O-Sketch! Remember, this setting will apply to all users including Adminstrators. As long as you know where to go, it's easy to open up GPEDIT, remove the restriction, do your work, enable the restriction and log off. There are ways to do this through the registry as well, but this is the quickest and easiest. That's assuming that you don't have a bunch of tech wanna be users prying around in your OS.
