Question : Internal error 2753. nost_LM.exe Windows Installer or Installshield issue
I attemepted to update the applications and drivers for the Belkin Nostromo usb keyboard controller, and the updated install choked on the previous software version. It detected the previous install, and offered to uninstall it, but crashed halfway through the operation.
From that point on I've been unable to completely uninstall the Nostromo software. I have tried:
1) Manually removing any Belkin or Nostromo entries in the registry.
2) Using the MSI cleanup utility. It couldn't find any belkin or nostromo software.
3) Cleaned the registry of any orphaned keys.
Although the install is clearly not there anymore, when I try to run the Nostromo Installer, the following happens:
1) tells me it's configuring the windows installer.
2) informs me that I've selected to remove the nostromo installation (although I was never given that option)
3) exits with the above mentioned error number when i tell it to go ahead and uninstall.
Looking forward to a solution to this issue!
Thanks,
Rob Yale
