Question : Recycle bin corrupted

I had a Spyaxe trojan infection on my computer. I have cleaned all the traces up, however now when I delete a file it bypasses the Recycle Bin. I do not have the "delete file immediately" option checked. I have tried checking and then unchecking this option, but to no avail. Any suggestions please?
