Question : Lost my audio

I have completely lost all sounds/audio.
Used to work until I did a re-install of the OS because of a different problem
Windows XP Media.
Control Panel --> Sounds and Audio Devices Properties --> Hardware
Shows this Device is working properly for all of the Codecs and Audio Drivers!
Volume and Audio shows "No Playback Device".

Suggestions?

Answer : Lost my audio

you can test if the hardware sound works, by running from a live knoppix cd, you should hear the startup sound :
ftp://ftp.uni-kl.de/pub/linux/knoppix/KNOPPIX_V5.1.0CD-2006-12-30-EN.iso
if still no sound, the hard is bad - if still warranty, ask for a warranty repair / replacement
