Question : Solaris system Planning
Hi experts,
Need a quick solution for this.
I am a newbee to solaris
We are running sun server 4810 having around 18GB RAM and 12 sparc processor.its a production database server.
currently our management is planing to reduce 5 GB of memory from this system.
I have to give reports on that as how it will affect the existing system.
What all things are to be considered and planned so that I can put all these in my report.
here is the info if you require
the command which i ran -
prtmem -l

Answer : Solaris system Planning
You need to do some performance statistics to find out the memory usage on
the system.
Make sure after your reduce the RAM the system will not use too much "swap".
