Question : Block/Disable Virtual PC execution

Hi,

In our AD there are some users who need administrative rights. Some of these users have installed Virtual PC and now we're trying the execution of this sofware.

Is there any specific GPO to block or disable the execution of this software?. Nowadays we have blocked Virtual PC.exe file, but administrative users can rename this file and then running the porgram again.

If you create a software restriction policy using a hash rule then they will not be able to run it even if they rename it. - You need to have a copy of it though in order to create the hash in the first place - fortuneatlt you can download VPC for free from Microsoft.
