Question : What is the fastest remote desktop application?

Hi all,

We run VMWare to host some virtual machines which connect to our clients via their own VPN clients. These clients use remote policies to lock out connections from the LAN to those machines when connected, so the only way to use machines is through the VMWare console.

The problem - we have a new remote office, and the employees need to access the VMWare machines running at our office through VMWare console - which can be incredibly slow when run on their local computers, or through a terminal server set up here.

The goal: Provide virtual access the the VMWare console running anywhere where it will show the machines at our office as fast as possible.

What we are testing:

I have set up VMWare Console on a new Citrix server, and am offering a faster connection through a Cisco VPN client into the system. We will not offer the citrix system directly to the internet.

Any suggestions? Anyone try any of the open source desktop virtualization projects?

Answer : What is the fastest remote desktop application?

The vistualization give you the oportunity of manage diferent PC enviornment using the same box, but this is diferent environments, then need to be manage as you want to connect to diferent PCs across the country, a remote tool must be the best election. I suggest again Logmein.
