Question : Linux, Webmin, root user
I would like to delete the webmin user 'root' on my linux system, or else change its password. I am not happy with the password that webmin created when it was installed. Can i do this without upsetting the linux user 'root' in some way, which could be a distaster? Are the two things independent? I am running Debian linux

Answer : Linux, Webmin, root user

First make sure you add other user(s) as webmin users, and give at least one of them enough rights to be able to manage it. If you remove the root user from the webmin users group and not add another user webmin would be unusable. But as long as you only change things in the Webmin users that won't affect users inside linux.
