Question : .Reg file not installing

I have created a .reg file to modify a Windows Server 2003 system registry. It was working fine until I added some dword changes, and now when I either right click on it to merge or if I double click on it, it opens with a blank untitled notepd instaead of installing. I've seen this before but can't remember how to get around it. Any thougts?

Answer : .Reg file not installing

Open WIndows Explorer, go to Tools -folder options -filetypes - scroll to ".reg" and change the associated program as regedit. If you have to browse for it, it is located in the c:\Windows folder.
