Question : Recreate priv1.edb databse?

How can I recreate the default databases for Exchange 2003?  The volume hosting the priv1.edb/stm and pub1.edb/stm files were blown away in my test environment.  I opened the properties for each message store and 'moved' the database to the new volume (and did not receive an error message), but it did not create/recreate any of the databases.  I restarted the System Attendant (and related) services before and after the move, and still no databases.  I understand that there will be no data in the store, but I would like to know how to do this JIC of an emergency in the production environment.  Thanks for all your help.

Answer : Recreate priv1.edb databse?

I followed the KB article and verified that all the settings were already correct.  The new location is reflected already.  Something I noticed is that I can create a brand new Storage group, and within that, I can create a new Mailbox store.

UPDATE - I did figure out what the deal was. There were some old log files in the default directory that hosted the the First Storage Group.  After I moved those to a different directory, I was able to mount the mailbox stores and create empty databases.  As it turns out, it appears that one of the other administrators may have attempted to resurrect the mailbox store before I was in there (hence the bad logs).  Thanks for your help.
