Question : 451 4.4.0 DNS query failed from edge

Email from the outside destined for the internal network is being stopped on the edge server.  In the queue it says 451 4.4.0 DNS query failed.  I can resolve the hub and everything just fine from the edge, but for some reason this is not working.  
Edgesync = Works
Telnet 25 from HT to Edge = Works
Telnet 25 from Edge to HT = Works

Answer : 451 4.4.0 DNS query failed from edge

I had them in there and it was not working.  I was talking to another guy that said he always sets up a DNS server on the edge server.  So I did, but that should not cause the next hop domain to contain just the name of the hub server and not the fqdn of the domain.  And I could resolve the hub server on it netbios name as well as the fqdn so I don't quite understand why it is like that.
