Question : Moving emails from Public folder to pst
I have a Public folder with approx 126K emails in it from the past two years. I have moved about two of 13 months worth (about 7K) into a pst but it has taken several hours to do so already because Outlook stops responding or I get frequent "requesting data" messages. I have better success if I move 15-30 at a time but that is going to take a long time. I estimate another 12 hours at least to move the remaining 11 months out to the pst. Is there a utility, or a better method I could use to move these emails out to a pst?
Answer : Moving emails from Public folder to pst
I ended up using Outlook2003 installed on a Windows2003 server. I still had to move out batches of emails (a month or two's worth - a few thousand emails) at a time, but it worked.
