Question : Multiple domain names, and Exchange
We purchased a domain name because the original domain we had was to long, and people were not getting it right. It was really frustrating. It's been working, but now all of sudden i'm having issues sending emails because my original domain is my AD domain as well. So it's responding to all reverse Dns inquires, how can I have multiple domains for email, and get it to work.
Can I just add the domain in my DNS server, (same as my DC). Then creating a reverse entry as well??? I'm gathering info before I make any changes, I dont want to mess up the domain and make it worse then it is.
I have server 2003 as my DC, and server 2008 w/exchange 2007.
Answer : Multiple domain names, and Exchange
If you have domain.com and now you want domain.com to be able to receive mail for domain1.com then you just need to update recipient policy and that should fix it
