Question : Missing or Corrupted Command Com Trying to Boot From A Ghost Floppy
I am trying to boot a Lenovo Laptop using a Standard Ghost Bootdisk created with Ghost 8.0. I want it to boot into Ghost and see an external USB conntected DVD burner, so I can burn an image of the drive. I did select the USB option when I created the boot disk. I was not able to overide BIOS USB support because that option was greyed out for some reason. I also selected use MS-DOS files when creating the boot-disk. The MS-DOS file came from a WIN98 boot disk from bootdisk.com. The floppy used was formatted and brand new when I created it.
When the disk is booted from I get an error that says:
The following file is missing or corrupted: USB\OHCI.EXE
There is an error in your config.sys file on line 11
The following file is missing or corrupted: COMMAND.COM
Type the name of the Command Interperter (e.g., C:\Windows\COMMAND.COM
I have swapped out the OHCI.EXE file for a new one and still get the same error.
The command on line 11 in the config.sys file is:
DEVICE = usb\ohci.exe
That referenced file is located in the proper folder. I have also tried to use the PC-DOS option and get the same error. I have also created a BartPE CD that boots into Ghost just fine, but it won't see devices connected via USB.
I have also tried using Ghost 7.5 doing the same thing and get the same error message.
