Question : Windows xp driver for SIS m645dx + 962 chipset - have looked everywhere !
I have a savrow blade 75 laptop. the company went bust a couple of years ago and I've lost the driver disk (I no longer have the driver disk)
I recently uninstalled ubuntu and put xp back on it.
i have the manual which lists its components
SIS m645dx + 962 chipset
intel mobile celeron
nvidia geoforce 7800 gt graphics card
ac (realtek) 97 compatible sound card (2.1)
on-board ethernet and wireless,
the problem is if i download the xp driver for the motherboard - it does not install as windows says the driver is incorrect cannot be found. note that as this is a laptop everything is 'on board'. i downloaded a program to check the hardware and it is as listed.
i don't believe there's a problem with the hardware - as it worked fine with ubuntu - i just needed a program that ran on xp.
any help appreciated (in particular if you know of any sites that cater for savrow blade users)
Im just looking for the driver for SIS m645dx + 962 chipset so I can install the ac (realtek) 97 compatible sound card (2.1) and wireless driver. im happy to give a lot of points for this - but would appreciate info on where i can get this driver. if you have a savrow blade cd - im happy to pay postage for a copy of the cd. thanks
thanks
