Question : WinDVD7 on Windows Media Center 2005

I run on Windows Media Center 2005 fully updated (Oct 2006), ATI Catalyst 6.9 and Realtec 882 on board.
All loaded drivers are updated.
Windows Media Player 10 is installed and it can playback DVD's (installed codec is Intervideo).

When Win DVD7 Platinum tries to start, I get a message "WinDVD MFD application error" pointing at a fault at GPIProxy.dll. After that WinDVD does not start.
I have installed and uninstalled WinDVD many times and still the same. The funny thing is that sometimes, WinDVD runs properly after a fresh installation and the problem appears the second time I try to use it or after "Stop" and "Play" again.

Can you please provide support on that?

some suggest running a check for spyware.
http://www.spywaredata.com/spyware/malware/gpiproxy.dll.php

you can download hijackthis from here ( its only the name of a great spyware scanner)  http://www.hijackthis.de/
install it  run the scan then copy the entire log to that same page and paste it into the panel hit analyze below the panel
does it immediately and shows what you have on your machien if there is any spyware.

download the .dll

If you can  reproduce as you say in other players. Maybe just use them.
WinDVD7 does not recognise the existence of SPDIF output << why are you using that it really has no relevance.
Did Windvd install  okay no problems?
This the latest version have you added it to sp2 exceptions firewall?
have to regestered it ok no problems
