Question : Problem printing addresses on envelopes withWord 2003, XP Home

Recent problem. My inkjet printer will not print addresses on envelopes. Printer functions normally for all other activities. Envelope moves normally through the printer, the printer makes the usual printing noises but no ink is deposited on the envelope. I am using Word 2003 with XP Home Edition

Ladies & Gentlemen:

I just changed the color cartridge in my printer as I tried to print a page containing color and it printed all in black. After I did that,  since we had tried everything else, I thought I would try printing an envelope. To my suprise, it printed perfectly.

I do not know why the "empty" color cartridge affected the printing of black addresses on an envelope but it apparently did. I had no problem printing any other "black" documents and no warning that the color cartridge needed changing.

I would like to thank all of you who tried to help me. I appreciate your efforts and the time you took to think about the problem. I suggest you file this one away in the folder where you maintain your unusual problem solutions.
