What is the software you use to delete all data stored on your hard drive.
Currently I am using IOLO Drive Scrubber v2. I am doing one pass but it takes forever.........as it would with any other software.
A 7 pass (DOD compliant) could take days to finish.
Is there any other software that is faster than the one mentioned above?
Or the software depends on the hardware it is being run?
In other words, would it run faster if I run the software on a powerful machine (high end processor, lots of RAM)?
Currently wiping Dell Dimension 8200's, 4400's, 4500's.
How about taking out the hard drives and put them on a Pentium Core 2 Duo, 4GB RAM. Would it make a difference?
