Question : BackUP Exec 12.50 backing up to an external HD a daily backup

Hi
We use Backup Exec 12.5 to backup all our sqlDatabase every night (full).
I know how to do the restore if a server will crash.
However what i need to do is to get a copy of a specific database that is already on the tapes from last night to an external Hard-Drive that is connected to where Backup Exec Program is install.
After i get a copy of the sql database to the External Hard-drive. I need to put this database to a new server that have sql already out side our office. I need to know if this is possible.
