Question : SPS Bakup/Restore

Hi,

We have a sharepoint portal and currently its using AD authntication. I have the following query:

I need to replicate the same portal in another windows 2003 server with same settings, so just wanted to know how do I do this. I have installed all the required softwares( SQL Server 2000, WSS version 2 and SPS -2003), now can I use the backup and restore facility of SPS? Does Restore sets up properly both config and content information in newly installed system? What are things needs to be taken care in new system while doing installation.
