Question : ghost server and client won't connect

I installed Ghost Solution Suite 2.0.1, Ghost Console, to my Windows XP machine. I installed the Client to another machine, laptop1. I can't get the two to connect. At first, the laptop did appear in the Dynamic Machine Groups, under Windows XP, but has since disappeared. On the client, in the sys tray, there is a Ghost icon that says "trying to locate ".

I have tried with the Firewalls on and off. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the ghost sw on both machines and rebooted a couple of times. A couple of message boards mention WINS, but we don't use that on our network.

Any advice is appreciated.

Answer : ghost server and client won't connect

I would just leave that setting blank. Then it will connect to the first ghost server it finds.

Also, try turning off the firewall on the server.
