Question : Start Windows

The follow is the conversation I've had with spotmau and their solution. If this is the best they can come up with I'd stay away, very far away. I hope Experts exchange can do better. I can't loose all this data.

I wanted to do a disk to disk back up, when my PC rebooted I'm stuck looking at error 17: File not found.(CD was in CD Player)
I press any key and end up in no mans land. Nice program. What the hecks the problem and how do I get back to windows. Does this have something to do with the fact I'm running 64 bit XP?

Dear customer,
Don't worry about it,why the computer will reboot? Can't you do a clone with 'Disk to Disk'?May I know more info about it?

I'll try this again after a nights sleep.
First screen after reboot:

Booting 'Spotmau LiveCD'

root (hd1,0)
Filesystem type is ntfs, partition type 0x7
kernel /vmlinuz root=/dev/ram0 init=/linuxrc vga=788 looptype-squashfs loop=/rootfs,mod cdroot=/dev/xxx nosound splash=silent COUNCILE=/dev/tty1 quiet clone_cmd=

Error 17: File not found

Press any key to continue...

When I press a key the next screen I get is:

GRUB4DOS 0,4,3 2007-06-17, Memory: 639K / 2046M, CodeEnd: 0x3F28C
Spotmau LiveCD
I can't highlight 'Spotmau Live CD'
Several commands 'b' to boot 'e' to edit 'c' for a command lineThat's all the details. I hope this is enough info,  I need to pack up for work soon. Obviously I'm on my laptop at the present.

Answer : Start Windows

If your bios isn't recognizing your cd drive I would try resetting bios to defaults. You can go here   (http://www.acronis.com/promo/ATIH/true-image-2009.html?source=us_google&ad=ati?source=us_google&ad=acronis&gclid=CO6NvvignJgCFRk_awodHUCOnQ) and download acronis trial software that will image your drive. After you get your image made from what you've told me you may have to do a windows repair.
