Question : Exchange Mail store will not mount.

Hi All

I have exchange 2003  standard edition sp 2, the problem i have is that the exchange mailbox store will not mount and when i attempt to do so it creates the following error in the event log. the information store service starts and stop with no errors.

Information Store (2868) Applegarth Storage Group: Database D:\Exchange\Exchange Database\priv1.edb: Page 525203 (0x00080393) failed verification due to a timestamp mismatch.  The expected timestamp was 0x646464646484346d but the actual timestamp on the page was 0x6464646464646464.  Recovery/restore will fail with error -566.  If this condition persists then please restore the database from a previous backup. This problem is likely due to faulty hardware "losing" one or more flushes on this page sometime in the past. Please contact your hardware vendor for further assistance diagnosing the problem.

Now i have been told that a restore has been carried out and previous event log information would suggest that transaction log are trying to be replayed.
Information Store (2868) Applegarth Storage Group: The database engine has begun replaying logfile D:\Exchange\Transaction logs\E00.log.

can anyone please point me in the right direction

Answer : Exchange Mail store will not mount.

The error shows a hard recovery failure.for isinteg to work there is little procedure.Follow it.If nothing else works,then Microsoft suggests to begin with a fresh empty database.Since you are running only one mailbox it wont be a problem for you.

1.start the information store service first then run the commands .
