Question : Find latest McAfee VIRUS Definition update and version number

Can someone tell me where i can find this informtaions, registry / file level etc...?

Answer : Find latest McAfee VIRUS Definition update and version number

In the registry the DAT information must be stored in szDatVer or szVirDefVer (depending to the different McAfee versions). I'm not sure about the exact path but it could be the following ones:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Network Associates\McAfee VirusScan\VirusScan\CurrentVersion\szDatVer
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Network Associates\TVD\VirusScan Enterprise\CurrentVersion\szVirDefVer
