Question : Can't access internet on workstation joined to SBS 2003 domain

Here is the situation - Win XP Pro workstation joined to SBS 2003 domain.  The LAN that the SBS server and this workstation are on does NOT have internet access.  This is how the owner wants it.  However, he wants internet access on this one workstation.  There is a wireless access point/DSL modem in the office.  I installed a wireless USB adapter on this workstation to connect to the wireless internet access.  It connects and gets an IP configuration but still can't access the internet.  When you run IE, you get Page Cannot be Displayed.  You also can't update virus protection.  Here is the IP Config info:

Ethernet Connection:

IP Address  192.168.16.11
Default Gateway, DHCP Server, DNS Server  192.168.16.2 (the SBS server)

Wireless Connection:

IP Address  192.168.1.108
Default Gateway & DHCP Server  192.168.1.1
DNS Servers  68.237.161.12 & 71.250.0.12

What am I doing wrong, or is it impossible to make this work?  If this won't work, how do I get internet to this one workstation?  Thank you.

Answer : Can't access internet on workstation joined to SBS 2003 domain

On the Ethernet Connection remove the Default Gateway.  Since the computer will not be accessing the Internet from this connection you don't need this.  The workstation should then try to connect to the Internet using the Wireless Connection.  You should actually remove the DG from the DHCP options on the SBS server so that none of the workstations get this.

Another way you can accomplish this is by setting up the DSL modem/WAP on the same subnet as the SBS server.  Give it an IP address of 192.168.16.1.  Then configure the DHCP and remove the DG from the DHCP options.  Next configure a reserved IP address in DHCP for the workstation that you want to have access the Internet.  Make sure you've added the DG to this reserved IP address configuartion.  Now this workstation would be the only one to access the Internet since it's the only one configured with a Default Gateway.  The other advantage to doing this is that you could add the DG to the workstations at any time in order apply MS Updates and then remove the DG again.
