Question : ActiveSync Only Works With No SSL Un-checked - 1 Phone Problem

Hello ..

We have mix of Treo700wx and Moto Q 9c devices in our shop. All devices work with Activesync, sync mail contacts, etc with no problems. I myself recently acquired the only Moto Q (NON-9c .. Older version).

Now this older version isnt WM6, its WM5. To install our certificates (Super SSL) from GoDaddy I used the VZW_SpAddCert application and could only install 1 of the 3 certs which I install on the 9c and Treowx devices. The intermediate and 2nd level cert for some reason is not being accepted as a "valid certificate".

So to confirm I can import the ValidCert & GoDaddy certs, they are there in the root certificates on the device.

I have been working with all of our mobile devices for about 2 years and I have never had a problem like this. Even before our GoDaddy cert, we had our self-signed which I just imported and worked with no problem/

Moving on.. So we have RPC over HTTPS (obviously :-) ) and we have a FE and BE exchange environment.

I cannot get this single device to sync unless I uncheck the option to "Require Secure Channel (SSL)".

As soon as I enable the SSL on the "default website" and everything else I get the message: The security certificate on the server is invalid. Contact your Exchange Server administrator or ISP to install a valid certificate on the server. Support Code: 80072f0d

What i have had to do is disable the SSL option for the Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync site under the Default Website and disable the option within the Q.

I have tried everything and imported the certs successfully, including the CAB install options.

I'm sorry if I omitted anything pertinent to this issue. If I have just ask away and I'll present it.

Any recommendations are appreciated..
