Question : New Vista Laptop had a user account on it prior to mine
I have a brand new Gateway P-7808u FX laprop with Vista Ultimate on it.
When it came it went through the whole first time user set up, etc etc.
I just just ran a registry cleaner on it and it comes up with a bunch of entries that are not valid which point to a user name under the users folder which does not exist anymore.
This tells me that the laptop was not new, or at least someone logged in and then removed their account when they were done.
My user name is "Eric", you can plainly see by the screenshot here

that a user named "Angel" existed at some point.
I was hoping their might be some other explanation here.
Answer : New Vista Laptop had a user account on it prior to mine
Gateway computers have recovery software built into them by a program called Pc Angel. That may be where that account came from... I'll see if I can find out more about it.
