Question : windows update "software distribution service v3" problems?

we did a windows update installing software distribution services v3.0, now we seem to be getting viruses or spyware.  Please advise.

ccache--Why do you think you have malware?  Error messages?  Strange behavior?
Software Distribution service seems to be a valid MS file.  I have it installed.  It causes me no problems.  Based on my observation, the primary function seems to be to run System Restore points.
But others say it has to do with facilitating Windows Updates.
If you really think you have malware, then scan with your Antivirus and Antispyware programs, fix what they recommend and then run HiJackThis and post the log here
