Question : MOSS FBA with anonymous access

Hi Mr Experts,

I am having a MOSS web application which has a windows authentication for the Intranet zone and a extented Form based authentication for the Internet zone. My question is:

If I only need the anonymous access to the site for the public, should I delete the internet zone and just go with the Intranet zone with the anonymous acess, or I still need to use the FBA internet zone with the anonymous access.

What is the advantage of setting anonymous access with FBA?

Please HELP!!!!

Answer : MOSS FBA with anonymous access

i dont fully understand your question,
if your only using windows auth, you have no need for FBA access thus that zone would never be used.
if you head to central admin site:
- application management > Authentication Providers > click on your windows zone > tick "Enable annonm access".  you can have this option ticked for windows and fba access.
the advantage of having anonymous access via FBA site allows users to have basic access without having a user account.  if thats an issue, you could infact allow FBA users to manage themselfs.
there is a solution found here for this task:

i've wrote an installer and uninstaller here:

if you only have the need for 2 points of access, i dont understand why you have 3 zones
