Question : Moving Exchange 2003 Cluster from Old to New Storage
Hello to all the experts,
After a long process we finally got our new storage. Our goal is to move all the servers which are in SAN to the new Storage. We managed to move all the servers excpet the Exchange Cluster (Active/Passive 2 node) and File and Print Cluster(Active/Passsive 2 Node).
For Exchange we thought of moving the exchange Database by option of Moving the database from exchange system manager but one thing which we are finiding difficult is how to move the Quorum Drive of cluster and the logs. How would we do that. Can some one give us hints or suggestions in regards to moving the Exchange 2003 Enterprise Cluster (Active/Passive) from old storage to new. Secondly for file and print as well how would we move it. I thought of restoring the whole cluster from backup for file and print but if there is another way which can help us then it would be very better option.
I am despertly in need of experts advices on how to get this job done with no disasters.
Regards
Answer : Moving Exchange 2003 Cluster from Old to New Storage
ooooooooh the old days,
I got a project like that once, we had fun with HP and MS guys, we had several option like change the LUN ID, change the DISK ID using FDISK, but finally we found the using the following method in the below article is the best:
http://support.microsoft.c
om/kb/9274
68/en-us
we used it and it worked great... so it is safe to do it and the same applies to the file servers.
