Question : Coldfusion 8 install broke Sharepoint on IIS 6.0
|
|
Hi,
This morning I installed Coldfusion 8 on IIS 6.0 (on Windows Server 2003), however it has taken Sharepoint (WSS 3.0) down (I mistakenly installed it for all IIS sites). The following errors are in the event log:
Source: W3SVC Event ID: 1004 Description: Cannot register the URL prefix 'https://*:445/' for site '193691838'. The site has been deactivated. The data field contains the error number.
Data: 0000: 80070020
Source: HTTP Event ID: 15005 Description: Unable to bind to the underlying transport for 0.0.0.0:445. The IP Listen-Only list may contain a reference to an interface which may not exist on this machine. The data field contains the error number.
Data: 0000: 00040000 00520002 00000000 c0003a9d 0010: 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 0020: 00000000 00000000 c0000043
The problems include: 1. When I go to my sharepoint url, IIS doesn't recognise "Default.aspx" as the default document (event though it is defined in the site properties. 2. Links to all images and documents within Sharepoint are broken (even though the content database is intact and available).
I have searched the net, but can't find any information on this particular problem.
Any help would be appreciated.

sounds like a security issue.... or possibly your machine.config has changed/lost its security settings. could even be corrupted. someone else might come along with an answer.
if not, try restoring a backup if its totally screwed
