This has been happening for about a year, and I can't get it figured out. We are running a single Exchange 2000 server in our environment, and it crashed about a year ago and was not brought back up properly, I think we reinstalled Windows from scratch and Exchange (but in a panic, and before we knew what we were SUPPOSED to do), but didn't use the DR switch or anything....Anyway, everything works fine, except for this, and I think maybe it's looking for some old files or something. Here's the error I get:
OALGen encountered error [0x80004005] while calculating this OAL. This OAL will not be available for client download. (\Global Address List)
Now, when I go into Exchange System Manager>Recipients>Offline Address Lists, there is only one listed, and it's called "Offline address list". The Offline Address List Server" is my Mail Server, and under "Address Lists:" the only thing listed is "Default Global Address List", and it's set to run every morning at 4:00am, which is when I get the error. Any help in getting this resolved would be much appreciated. Thanks.
