Question : Certificate installed on SBS 2003 R2 - now errors with Public Folders

We are trying to add a certificate to our new SBS 2003 R2 server for use with OWA

I have obtained our certificate through 1and1 - as we get a free GeoTrust RapidSSL certificate included with our package. The certificate was created online using the 1and1 wizzard, which generated a Private key for me which I downloaded and saved. The certificate came through last night, and I created a .pfx (once again using 1and1's website) file to import into SBS.

Today - I tested OWA and everything worked perfectly...! No annoying warning screens from IE7 etc...

...But (!) now I cannot access Public folders within Exchange System Manager, as I now get the following error:

# The SSL certificate server name is incorrect.
# ID no: c102b404
# Exchange System Manager

If I "switch" back to the self signed (SBS self created) certificate everything works fine again.

I have also tried a few answers to previous similar questions from EE - which all mainly point to : http://support.microsoft.com/?id=324345 - but have had no success with this, as I still get the same error.

Any suggestions?

Then it is likely that your ipaq simply doesn't have that certificate root installed - which is not uncommon.

You have 3 options, try to update the ipaq so that it includes the certificate update, get a new certificate that is trusted natively, or, the best option, install the certificate onto the ipaq (which I am assuming is running windows mobile - can't remember)
