Question : Veritas 8.6  exchange mailbox restore problem

i have a 2000 server SP4 with exchange 2000 SP3
i had to rebuild this server after a hdd faliure.
the server is exactly as it was before, names, ip's etc....
i have veritas 8.6 and have managed successfully to restore all data except for the exchange mailboxes

i keep getting the message

Unable to attach to \\TAL-SERVER\Microsoft Exchange Mailboxes.
Access is denied.

I've tried everything checked the services the send as recieve as permissions but nothing

any help guys this is driving me mad

Answer : Veritas 8.6  exchange mailbox restore problem

Why would you want to restore the Exchange mailboxes? You should restore the Exchange Information Store instead. Mailbox restores are OK for restores of individual messages, but are useless for a complete Exchange restore.
