Question : Need assistance obtaining a missing I/O controller driver
I have just reformatted this HP laptop and reinstalled Windows XP w/ SP2. I installed all windows updates and all hardware device drivers from HP's site, however I am stuck with one unknown device under device manager which I cannot identify or install what it's looking for.
I ran the Intel Chipset driver, but it was to no avail. I also ran the Intel Chipset Identifier, and it shows:
Mobile Intel(R) 82915GM/GMS/910GML Express Chipset family
I/O Controller: Failed to identify your ICH
Integrated Graphics: Mobile Intel(R) 82915GM/GMS, 910GML Express Chipset Family
So all I know is that it's something with the I/O Controller, but have had no luck to fix it. Do any of you have any ideas? This is a for an HP NC4200 Laptop
