Hi,
I am running Vista business edition and I have bee having trouble installing the SQLupdate KB948109. I have downloaded it and tried to install it manually using the SQLServer2005-KB948109-x86-ENU.exe file.
I have stopped all services realated to SQL. There is one service that keeps turning itself on during the update install, it is MSSQl$ACT7 and it is preventing the update from installing. I have right clicked the exe file and tried running it as an admin and still nothing. I am also logged in as admin. The log on the update install states the following:
"MSP Error: 29533 Service 'WS-15\ACT7' could not be stopped. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to stop system services. The error code is (16388)"
