Question : dBASE III Plus .dbt file
|
|
I have a dBase database that I want to convert over to Access which is relatively easy but in one table there is one field where the programmer put all of the information for this field (from all the records) in a .dbt file. What I was wondering was if there was a way through dBase or any other way that I could take the info from the .dbt file and put the segments in a table that I could use in my database. I've never used dBase, so I would need step by step directions.

Answer : dBASE III Plus .dbt file

From memory, .dbt file is a memo file which contains information contained within one or more Memo type fields in the table.
If you import this table directly using the access import table routine, selecting the .dbf file then the memo fields should be created and populated correctly.
